ProtoFlow Side Effects and Safety
Last updated: October 6, 2026
ProtoFlow contains 14 active ingredients, so it has more potential interactions than a simple one-herb supplement. Most healthy men are likely to tolerate it, but the niacin content and the blood-thinning herbs deserve attention.
What the label says
Adults take two capsules daily with water. If you are currently taking any medication, consult a physician before use. Do not exceed the suggested use. Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C (86°F), keep out of reach of children, and do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing.
Possible side effects
| Ingredient | What you might notice | How likely |
|---|---|---|
| Niacin, 75 mg | Warm, red, itchy or tingling skin on the face, arms and chest shortly after a dose | Fairly common |
| Cayenne, tribulus, saw palmetto | Heartburn, nausea or stomach upset | Occasional |
| Ginkgo, hawthorn, niacin | Headache or dizziness | Occasional |
| Ginseng, epimedium | Trouble sleeping or a faster heartbeat if taken late in the day | Occasional |
| Inosine | A gout flare in men who are prone to gout | Uncommon |
| Soy protein | Allergic reaction in men with a soy allergy | Rare |
Taking the capsules with a meal reduces both the flush and stomach upset. The flush is harmless and usually fades within an hour. Stop and seek medical advice for palpitations, a rash, swelling or breathing difficulty.
Medication interactions
- Blood thinners and daily aspirin: ginkgo, ginseng and cayenne can add to bleeding risk. Stop two weeks before planned surgery.
- Heart and blood pressure medicine: hawthorn and tribulus may strengthen their effect.
- Diabetes medicine: ginseng and tribulus can lower blood sugar.
- Gout medicine: inosine raises uric acid and works against it.
- Antidepressants: check with your doctor because of the catuaba.
- Prescription prostate medicine: do not stop tamsulosin, finasteride or similar drugs to take a supplement.
Who should not use it without medical advice
- Men with heart rhythm problems, heart failure, liver disease or kidney disease.
- Men with gout or a history of kidney or bladder stones.
- Men with prostate cancer or another hormone-sensitive cancer, or under PSA monitoring.

Urinary symptoms that need a doctor
- You cannot pass urine at all. This is an emergency.
- Blood in your urine.
- Painful, urgent urination with fever or chills.
- Severe pain in the lower abdomen.
- A weak stream, dribbling or night-time urination that is new or getting worse.
These can have several causes, and an examination is the only way to tell them apart. See the full formula on our ProtoFlow ingredients page.
